Chubb played for NC State in college and was awarded the Bronko Nagurski Trophy and the Ted Hendricks Award. He was selected as the fifth overall pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by the Denver Broncos. Unfortunately for the Bronos, they exercised their fifth-year option in 2021, which guaranteed Chubb a salary of $12.72 million for the 2022 season, only to lose him in September after Chubb had to undergo ankle surgery. In November of 2022, the Broncos traded Chubb to the Miami Dolphins. He signed a $110 million extension with Miami, with $63.2 million guaranteed.
