Antonio played college football for Central Michigan from 2007–2009. He entered the 2010 NFL Draft and was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers as the 195th overall pick. During his first season in the league, his team advanced to the Super Bowl, but lost. In his second year in the league, he became the only player in NFL history to record five receptions and at least 50 yards in every single game.
He continued to play well on the field but had some bad blood with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, and eventually requested a trade in 2019. He was traded to the Oakland Raiders but had a few incidents off the field that made the team release him. He signed with the Patriots but was cut after just one game, likely due to sexual assault allegations made against him. He ended up signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2020 and won a Super Bowl with them. He was released in the 2021 season after stripping off his uniform and running off of the field during a game.
Amongst many controversies involving Brown, one of the biggest was in 2019 when Brown’s former trainer, Britney Taylor, alleged that he sexually assaulted her on three occasions. Since her accusations were outside of the statute of limitations, Antonio was not prosecuted. He was also sued by a doctor for “farting in his face”. He has had several domestic violence incidents at his home and has been very vocal about his anger towards Tom Brady who took him under his wing and tried to get him help.
