Reese attended St. Frances Academy in Baltimore, where she was a standout player on the girls’ basketball team. During her high school career, she earned numerous accolades and awards, including the title of Gatorade Maryland Girls Basketball Player of the Year in 2019 and 2020.
In 2020, Reese committed to playing for the University of Maryland women’s basketball team. She made an immediate impact during her freshman year, starting in 13 of 14 games and averaging 13.3 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. She was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year and earned All-Big Ten Second Team honors.
