The United States Women’s National Team has been on Cloud 9 after winning their 2nd-straight World Cup behind a dominant 2-0 victory over the Netherlands last weekend.
The team was also honored at the ESPYS on Wednesday night, but unfortunately, unsavory characters knew about their whereabouts, so they decided to take advantage of it for their own personal gain.
Allie Long, a member of the squad, took to Twitter on Thursday and announced that somebody had burglarized her hotel room during the show, taking her wedding ring, her cash and the “key” to New York City.
Not too many things you can actually do with a “key” to a city, especially trying to get money for it, since everybody in the area would know what its for and who it was given to.
