A frightening scene had fans scared at the Rose Bowl after an ESPN analyst suddenly collapsed on live TV.
Minutes before the start of the Real Madrid vs AC Milan friendly, Shaka Hislop suddenly started to stumble forward and backward as he lost consciousness during a pre-game segment. The former GK and ESPN soccer analyst was doing a routine segment with co-host Dan Thomas at the time.
As soon as he fell and hit Thomas, his co-host could be heard calling for help.
Thomas pled for help from medical services: “Shak! Shak! Help!”. Seconds later, fellow media employees and stadium security entered the frame.
It was later revealed he was conscious and recovering after collapsing on the field at the Rose Bowl during a broadcast ahead of AC Milan’s friendly with Real Madrid on Sunday night.

Hislop had a long career as a goalkeeper in England, playing for Newcastle, West Ham, Reading, and Portsmouth.
In 2006, Hislop was the starting goalkeeper for Trinidad and Tobago in the Caribbean nation’s first-ever World Cup. He retired in 2007.
He joined ESPN as an analyst in 2008 and is a regular contributor for ESPN FC.
