The football world is about to get turned on it’s head, as one respected French journalist has come out and spilled the beans on some of the biggest scandals in the sport right now. And they’re even more disturbing that you’ve probably imagined.
Investigative journalist Romain Molina, who has published storied in the Guardian and the New York Times, hosted a Twitter Space recently, during which he revealed some bombshell accusations against players, coaches, organizations, presidents, and many other involved in the world of football.
One of the most popular names to come out of his report — which is not official and have not been formally presented — is Megan Rapinoe, whom he claims “wasn’t bothered by Haitian girls getting raped.” Rather, he says Rapinoe is more interested in “earning money” over “defending these young girls.”
That’s just one of many accusations made by Molina. Here are just a few of the others:
- Over 400 players currently playing in the Premier League, Championship, Ligue 1, and Ligue 2 have been raped multiple times in their youth. Many have sustained injuries or diseases, and have gone to specialized clinics as a result.
- One of the biggest academies in DR Congo is being managed by a pedophilia ring.
- The boss of Colombia’s refereeing is a pedophile, and Molina claims he received a letter from a 12-year-old that he can barely read because it’s so “gut-wrenching.”
- All players at Arsenal inhale nitrous oxide.
- A French international would organize parties where he would deficate in women’s mouths and video tape it. Molina was offered footage, but declined.
- Real Madrid’s Ferland Mendy is accused of hitting a woman, knocking her to the ground, kicking her in the head, and flashing his genitals at her. His club at the time covered it up so that they could sell him the following year.
- An international coach was caught “red-handed” raping a couple of 13-year-old girls during a tournament. He was fired under other pretenses in 2017. A “famous, very well-liked personality” helped cover up the incident.
- International games in Asia are fixed, causing many players to stop joining their international clubs there.
Obviously, the accusation involving Rapinoe pales in comparison to some of the other claims being made by Molina. As we’ve mentioned above, none of this has been formally reported by Molina as of yet. However, he does mention that a report on the 400-plus players who have been raped in England and France’s top two league is expected to come out in December.
If you think you can stomach all the details, you can check out all of Molina’s accusations in this Reddit thread here, as well as in the tweet below:

It’ll be interesting to see how FIFA responds to these allegations. If history has taught us anything, they’ll likely turn a blind eye, just like they seemingly have been for decades while all of this has gone on.
