Taylor Swift and her fans – Swifties, as they’re called – have taken over American football. And they’re now looking to infiltrate England’s Premier League.
Swift’s appearance at two Chiefs games line up with rumors that she’s dating star tight end Travis Kelce. And she’s since become the talk of the NFL.
It appears she’s coming after soccer now that Liverpool attacker Mohamed Salah has been nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month Award for September. The Egyptian has been one of the best players in the division since joining The Reds in 2017, having fired them to a League title plus a Champions League trophy. And he remains one of the most formidable attacking threats in soccer.
So why do Swifties want him to win the POTM award? Well, Salah admitted to being a Swift fan back in 2021, though he explained that his daughters made him listen to her music.
“My girls, too, make me listen to English music. I listen to Taylor Swift, for example,” Salah said then.

Given the coverage the NFL has afforded the singer, the Salah content has resurfaced right in time for him to be voted in as the winner.
The 31-year-old scored two goals and assisted two others in September, also helping Liverpool to three wins out of four games played.
Tottenham Hotspurs Son Heung-Min is the favorite, having scored six goals last month, but he doesn’t have an army of Swifties backing him.
