If you’ve been following Fox Sports’ World Cup coverage so far, you’ve probably noticed Jenny Taft, the stunning reporter who’s been covering soccer’s biggest tournament in Qatar.
Jenny has been a big part of Fox’s college football coverage, and she has also worked as a sideline reporter for the WNBA’s Minnesota Lynx. But now she’s getting the opportunity to cover another sport she loves at the 2022 World Cup.
The 35-year-old is often referred to as “The All-American Girl,” as she’s been gracing televisions across the United States for over a decade now.
The native of Edin, Minnesota, went to school at Boston University. While there, she majored in Broadcast Journalism and was a member of the lacrosse team. She would graduate in 2010 and joined the Fox Sports team shortly after.
In addition to football, basketball and, now, soccer, you can also add hockey to the list of sports that Jenny Taft has a background in. That’s because her father played briefly in the NHL with the Detroit Red Wings. And he was also a member of the U.S. Men’s Ice Hockey Team at the 1976 Winter Olympics…
And that’s not all!
Jenny Taft is also married to former NHL player Matt Gilroy, who spent time with the Tampa Bay Lightning, New York Rangers, Ottawa Senators and Florida Panthers. The retired defenseman also represented the United States at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang.

Taft and Gilroy got married in 2015 and they have one child together. Their daughter, Gigi, was born in March of this year.
