Sunday was a pretty special day for soccer fans worldwide, more so for Argentina fans as La Albiceleste went on to win what was arguably the best World Cup final in the history of the beautiful game.
The Argentinian contingent won via a penalty shootout after France fought back to even the scores twice, first from 2-0 down to equalize at 2-2 and then from 3-2 down to tie things up at 3-3. The sides couldn’t be separated in extra time, but hardly for the want of trying. So it took a shootout to decide who left the Lusail Stadium bearing the title of World Champions.
The Frenchmen will rue the first Argentina goal – a spot kick conversion by Lionel Messi – because replays showed that it was probably undeserved as Angel Di Maria went down in France’s box without any actual contact from marker Ousmane Dembele. Yet it would prove to be an entertaining spectacle all the same as France had two PK opportunities themselves, both of which were tucked away by Kylian Mbappe.
Ultimately, Argentina triumphed 4-2 in the shootout as France goalkeeper Hugo Lloris showed his nerves. He was not alone in this, with Aurelien Tchouameni and Kingsley Coman also missing from the spot to help hand the trophy to the Argentinians, who were perfect in the shootout.
Amid France’s heartbreak, there was still some reason for good cheer amongst fans as former Miss Croatia Ivana Knoll showed up to the game in yet another racy outfit, showing off her sizable derriere

It Was A great Run
Ivana has been treating fans to such photos all tournament. Still, she probably wasn’t expected to turn up to Sunday’s thriller due to Croatia playing their last game on Saturday, winning the third-place match against Morocco.
In spite of her allegiances, she will not regret being a part of this exciting fixture. She got a remarkable spectacle in exchange for treating us to all of her snaps. We’re already looking forward to 2026.
