This is truly next level when it comes to fans running out on the field.
Spain was hit pretty hard by the pandemic a few months ago, but La Liga, which is the country’s top soccer league, is back in action without fans in the stands. Well, at least that was the plan.
Barcelona and Mallorca played a match on Saturday, and somehow one man not only snuck into Son Moix Stadium, he ran out on the field for some time before security caught up to him.
This is not shocking for soccer games, but it’s rather unusual to happen without fans being in the stadium.
Despite the interruption, Barcelona won 4-0, with superstar Lionel Messi chipping in the final goal in extra time.
