Hope Solo has been keeping a low profile in recent years.
Now retired, Solo is among the world’s top goalkeepers and helped the USWNT win two Olympic gold medals and the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Along the way, she has run into a string of troubles.
The former goalkeeper, who was forced into retirement in 2016, was last in the news in 2022 when she was arrested for driving while intoxicated with her twins in the car.
Police discovered her sleeping in her running car at a Winston-Salem, North Carolina Walmart. She informed the officer she had pulled over to “take a nap” because she was tired.
Things got so tense that Solo had to be yanked out of the car.
After she got past that, Hope Solo would disappear from the public eye.

Hope Solo Plead Guilty Before Disappearing
Hope Solo has reemerged for the first time since her DWI arrest in 2022.
The former United States women’s national team goalkeeper pleaded guilty to driving while impaired after she was found passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle in North Carolina with her 2-year-old twins inside.
Her charges of misdemeanor child abuse and resisting a public officer were dismissed, but she did get a suspended sentence of 24 months and an active sentence of 30 days.
What may have helped her was the judge giving her a substance abuse assessment and completing all recommended treatment, per ESPN.
We can only hope that Hope Solo got the help she needed and has turned her private life around to become the best mother to her children.
