In the United States, fans were absolutely thrilled to see that Team USA tied with England during their World Cup match. Across the pond, however, that feeling was not mutual.
The U.S. men’s national team outplayed and at times even dominated England at the World Cup on Friday and it left their fans extremely pissed off.
Footage shows fans in England going nuts by angrily throwing beer and almost fighting with each other after the results.
Friday’s match against England was the USMNT’s second in the group stage after a 1-1 draw against Wales earlier this week. On the other side, England picked up a draw against the U.S. after opening the tournament with a dominant 6-2 victory over Iran on Monday.
So it is win-and-in versus Iran on Tuesday, otherwise, anything else will send the Americans home after just nine days. Their backs are officially against the wall, but at least they can feel good about what happened today.
