Croatia booted Brazil from the World Cup on Friday, but perhaps Ivana Knoll will be stealing many of the headlines for herself.
The former Miss Croatia has been turning heads with her selection of racy outfits throughout the tournament. And her new fans will be pretty happy to learn that the 2018 World Cup finalists will be staying in Qatar for at least a while longer.
Ivana Knoll is Risking It All
Based on Ivana’s bespoke wardrobe, even Brazil fans could be forgiven for not feeling entirely displeased over the result. At least there are going to be further appearances from the brave model, who has risked getting arrested in the Arab state just so she could express support in her own way. If you’re going to get knocked out of the World Cup, it might as well be against a team boasting the most eye-catching fan in the tournament.
It’s worth noting that the Qatari government has urged fans to show respect for the country’s culture and not wear very revealing clothing while out in public. They have also advised that both men and women should keep both their knees and shoulders covered, yet Ivana has been living on the edge, showing the folks of Qatar (and the world at large) significant skin.
Ivana has been criticized for her displays in the Middle East but claimed to have been granted special dispensation, telling Piers Morgan the following in a recent interview.

“I respect every country where I’m coming and I asked about the rules here and locals confirm me that I can dress as usually because for the World Cup they are making an exceptions and they will allow us to wear on the way how we are wearing it in usually,” she explained (H/T Brobible.com).
What happened during Croatia vs. Brazil?
Brazil went into Friday’s match as the bookmakers’ favorites to win it all and certainly looked to be well on their way when Paris Saint-Germain attacker Neymar put them ahead 1-0 at the stroke of halftime in the extra period. But Bruno Petkovic smashed in a deflected equalizer in the 116th minute that sent the game to penalties and ultimately saw Croatia advance to the semis (4-2).
The European nation will play their next game on Tuesday, when they will hope to book a place in a second successive World Cup Final. Croatia lost 4-2 to France in 2018.
