When it comes to fans fighting over the allegiance of teams, no sport does it the best or worse than soccer fans. They are notorious for being violent toward each other. They will attack opposing fans, the refs, and sometimes even the players.
We have yet another extreme case of soccer fans losing their minds before a recent matchup.
A brawl reportedly broke out between fans of Boca Juniors and Fluminense at a beach in Rio de Janeiro this week. This incident occurred ahead of the Copa Libertadores final that is set to take place at the Maracana on Saturday.
Videos were posted online appearing to show supporters of both teams engaging in a massive brawl near the fan zone on the beach in Rio de Janeiro on Thursday.

The state’s Military Police said that multiple people were arrested.
“Officers immediately surrounded the area, brought the situation under control, and two men — Argentine tourists and a third man, Brazilian — were taken to the 12th Police Station,” police said in a statement.
It is unclear what caused the trouble.
The 2023 Copa Libertadores final is the center of attention for South American football as it is the equivalent of Europe’s Champions League.
Boca made it to the final after beating Palmeiras in a penalty shootout in the second leg of their semi-final tie last month. Former Paris Saint-Germain star Edinson Cavani is on the team and hoping to get the squad their seventh Libertadores title this weekend.
