German sprinter Alica Schmidt continues to make headlines.
Just entering her mid-20s, Schmidt has soared to an international sensation, combining her athletic talent on the track with her stunning looks. That has created a massive social media following that has stretched into the millions.
Schmidt, the German track and field star who was dubbed the “world’s sexiest athlete” before the start of the Tokyo Olympic Games, recently revealed she set a personal best for herself in a recent race.
“Alica finished with a time of 52.18, as stated a personal best for her. The closest to that time finished with a time of 53.27. Beating your competition by more than a second is impressive. There’s usually at least one other runner on your heals,” Outkick wrote.
“Taking home a win, dusting the competition, and recording a personal best is worth celebrating no matter what the event. That’s exactly what Alica did, but her focus turned quickly to getting back to work.”
Schmidt is likely gearing up for a run in the 2024 Olympics.
Schmidt is an accomplished track athlete on the European circuit. In 2017, she helped the German team to a silver medal in the 4×400 relay at the 2017 European Athletics U20 Championships. Schmidt and her teammates won a bronze medal at the 2019 European Athletics U23 Championships.

The team would finish in sixth place in the 2022 European Championships. However, she and her team also failed to qualify at the World Athletics Championships in Oregon.
She hit a new low after failing to medal at the Olympics, eventually taking a break from the sport. Not to forget, Schmidt was named a Forbes 30 Under 30 member this year.
Schmidt’s Instagram is filled with many of her pics from training sessions and it has led to her having over 4 million followers.
