LeBron James created history by being the first player in men’s basketball history to fly the American flag during the Olympics. Following the momentous occasion, Devin Booker, LeBron’s teammate, compared the Lakers superstar to the venerable Captain America on Instagram.
“That boy standing like Captain America boy ain’t he. That boy got posture boy. Stop playing with Bron Bron….he’s going crazy,” Booker said.
Yesterday’s opening ceremony set the tone for the millions of spectators and athletes watching the Olympic Games, which are usually significant. Like every other team, the USA arrived by boat, and as the event unfolded, rising sensation Devin Booker couldn’t help but be in awe.
One of the first invitees to join Team USA this summer was Booker, a 27-year-old. In his four seasons with the Suns, the four-time All-Star averaged 24.3 points, 5.0 assists, 4.0 rebounds, and 49.2% shooting to establish a reputation for himself. Booker, one of the best backcourt players in the NBA, has added a lot of value to the US Olympic squad, and it’s evident that he gets along well with LeBron James, the unofficial team captain.
LeBron James Stood Out In The Rain To Hold The U.S. Flag During The Ceremony
LeBron braved the rain to hoist the American flag, but this is a long-standing custom of honor. James was picked even though no men’s basketball player from the United States had ever received the award due to his outstanding performance and standing as one of the nation’s most prominent and successful athletes.
Of course, he has been Team USA‘s finest player thus far this season. Even though the United States won all its exhibition matches, King’s heroics in the game’s closing moments saved them from defeat against South Sudan. LeBron James led the team in scoring with an average of 14.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 60.9% shooting in 20.4 minutes per game.

The first significant matchup between Lebron James and the United States and Nikola Jokic and Serbia will occur on Sunday. Team USA may find it challenging to control The Joker’s size and talent, but they have a big man of their own in Joel Embiid, who they may employ to lessen his influence.
It is unclear what will happen with Team USA and their pursuit of the gold, but LeBron’s legacy will never alter. His performance at the Olympics this year was historic, and it’s impressive that at 39 years old, he’s still playing.
