Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Haliburton were among the NBA stars who got the opportunity to represent the USA Team in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Prior to appearing on the big stage, the team will be sharpening their skills through the exhibition games. For that, they visited their next destination, the UAE. During the practice session there, the two shared a playful moment which got beautifully captured.
Haliburton was spotted boasting to Edwards by stating, “I have a floater!” However, the Ant-Man took no time in disregarding it. Further, he jokingly showed some moves, saying, “He be like this.” The Pacers guard took no offense to his teammate’s stunt, instead he was laughing.
Both Edwards and Haliburton stood out in the last season by showcasing their best for their respective teams. A huge credit goes to Edwards for leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to the top tier.
However, they were swept off by the Mavericks in the Western Conference Finals. On the flip side, Haliburton couldn’t continue with the Pacers in their Eastern Conference Finals for long due to his injury.
For now, their focus is to acquire the gold medal with the USAB which they have the highest chances of winning. Despite the light-hearted banter, Haliburton expressed his wish to continue playing with Edwards.
Haliburton Wants to Play in Multiple Olympics With Anthony Edwards
Among the 12 stars in the team USAB, Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Haliburton are the youngest ones. The two of the top 3 in the 2021 ROTY race are the future of the team and that shouldn’t come as a surprise. With this being their first Olympics together, the duo know that their time will come.

“Both of us take pride in being those young guys on the team and part of the future of the NBA moving forward. It’s really cool to be able to … share this moment,” Haliburton said about Edwards.
Haliburton wasn’t the only one being complementary to Edwards. Bam Adebayo also opened up about the positive vibe around Edwards.
“He’s authentically himself…This is one of the things I love about Ant,” the Heat forward said during an interview with Yahoo.
With the game against Australia just a sleep away, Edwards just might want to polish his training skills alongside Haliburton. Both of them could be in the starting 5 against Australia on July 15.
