Betting in this country has truly gotten out of hand.
BetOnline is changing the game forever as the offshore gambling website is going to be among the first – if not the first – to accept wagers on the outcome of Special Olympics events.
We really wish we were joking.
The Paralympics have already been covered by betting markets before, but this is the first time that any website has gone so far as to extend its betting markets to the Special Olympics.
This will be the first time in the 55 years of the Special Olympics that fans can wager on the well-known international sporting event, which will be held in Berlin starting with Saturday’s opening ceremonies.
Social media had quite the reaction to this news:

BetOnline.ag has been recognized as a pioneer of new wagering arenas and is based in Panama.
In the above report, BetOnline.ag has confirmed that two Special Olympics athletes sponsors have agreed to let the betting site use the competitors’ images to set up betting promotions.
BetOnline is confident that it would help further raise awareness for the Special Olympics and improve its visibility. “We’re a gaming company that provides entertainment products, so every goal behind our marketing strategies is to generate publicity, not only for us but for the competition,” brand manager Edward Knight explained.
The site also says it will be donating $10,000 to a non-profit organization supporting people with intellectual disabilities after the event’s conclusion.
