McKayla Maroney sat poolside on Father’s Day as she stripped down to celebrate the day.
Olympic gymnast McKayla Maroney stunned fans as she took to her Instagram story and showed off her toned figure in a skimpy blue bikini, sitting poolside and playing with her dog.
In the next post, she showed a video of her mom also by the pool as she included a message that stated, “Don’t have my dad with us anymore, but losing him taught me to be thankful for what I do have everyday. God bless you guys. Hope you have a wonderful day.”
McKayla Maroney’s dad passed away in 2019. His tragic death came on the heels of Maroney bravely revealing the things former USA Gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar did to her as well as other girls.

With the help of her testimony, Nassar was sentenced to up to 175 years in prison after more than 150 women and girls accused him of sexual abuse over a 20-year span. He was called “the most prolific child molester in history.”
McKayla Maroney’s Father Tragically Passed Away In 2019
McKayla Maroney has been in mourning ever since her father and biggest supporter, Mike Maroney, passed away in 2019 at age 59.
Her father’s cause of death was not immediately made clear.
At the time of his death, the then 23-year-old took to social media and shared a post about the impact he made on her life, stating, “Dad, you taught me everything from how to walk to how to be a man, and for that, I thank you,” the gymnast wrote on Instagram. “Thank you for getting up at 4:30 am for work and not coming home till 7 pm every day for more than 20 years just to keep food on the table, and for us to have a great life. I’m the man of the house now, and I promise to hold everything down. I promise.”
