The 2024 Paris Olympics are underway, and “Bob the Cap Catcher” has stolen the show.
You don’t expect to see many dad bods at the Olympic pool but one was on full display on Sunday morning as it belonged to an Olympic official.
The Olympic official went incredibly viral after he was sent to retrieve a lost swim cap during the 100-meter women’s breaststroke heats.
“Is there anything better on the pool deck other than that Speedo right there?”

The man, dubbed by NBC as “Bob the Cap Catcher,” stripped down to his colorful Speedo just so he could dive into the pool and pick up the cap of American swimmer Emma Weber.
Once he received the cap, the man held the swim cap high as he exited the pool, and fans went crazy in the stands.
“Bob the Cap Catcher” had his moment in the sun, but unfortunately for American swimmer Emma Weber, she ultimately didn’t qualify for the semifinal later Sunday. However, American Lily King won her heat to move onto the semis.
Will We See “Bob the Cap Catcher” Again During The Olympics?
“Bob the Cap Catcher” drew applause and whistled from the stands after he stripped down to his tiny briefs and dove into the Olympic pool Sunday to retrieve a swim cap that briefly halted the Olympic swimming competition.
The unidentified man drew loud cheers when he undressed and showed that dad bods could be celebrated as he walked across the deck in his skimpy, brightly colored shorts.
With so many more swimming competitions to go in these Paris Olympics, there is a good chance that “Bob the Cap Catcher” might end up making another appearance.
