Sometimes, when people accomplish a major achievement, they immediately think of the future and what will come next. On the other hand, Simone Biles prefers to live in the moment and worry about her future later.
Biles has won three gold medals so far in just the Paris Olympics, bringing her total to seven and effectively making her the most accomplished gymnast of all time.
As the oldest American gymnast this year, at just 27 years old, many want to know about her possibly participating in the 2028 Olympics, which are set to be held in Los Angeles. After assumingly being asked the same question over and over again, Biles has had enough and takes it to X to let everyone know.
“you guys really gotta stop asking athletes what’s next after they win a medal at the Olympics, Biles wrote.
“let us soak up the moment we’ve worked our whole lives for,” she continued.
Of course, as possibly the most talked-about athlete at this time, many online felt she had the right to want to enjoy the moment.

“You earned and deserve that right and so much more. Enjoy! You all were incredible,” one commenter wrote.
“Totally agree. The media are desperate for that comment about retiring that they so desperately want to here for some reason. Just enjoy the moment and that day. It’s the highlights of your lives,” said another.
Whether or not Biles does plan to compete in the 2028 Olympics, nobody should be taking the chance to see her perform right now for granted.
Simone Biles’s Participation In The 2028 Olympics Remains In The Air
When the 2028 Olympics roll around, it’s worth noting that Biles will be 31 years old. That may not seem that old, but just this year, at 27, Biles became the oldest woman to win the all-around gold medal in 72 years.
Of course, if Biles still believes she can continue to participate at a high level, then she’d likely want to continue competing.
“Never say never,” Biles told USA Today in an interview. “The next Olympics is at home, so you just never know. But I am getting really old.”
