Sha’Carri Richardson said back in August that the “Only way from 9th is up” and she has improved twice now since that last place finish.
In Eugene, Oregon, Jamaica’s Briana Williams ran 11.09 for eighth while Richardson was dead last in the nine-athlete field, running 11.14 seconds. Both faced off against each other at the Meeting Città di Padova in Italy today.
Richardson clocked in her best finish at second place as she ran 11.19, which still would put her in last place at the now infamous Prefontaine Classic at the University of Oregon. Either way, she was all smiles after the meet.
