Ecuadorian speed swimmer Anicka Delgado is in Paris right now, taking part in the Olympics for the second time.
The 22-year-old has garnered lots of attention since the start of the games, with fans flocking to her social media pages to check her out.
Apart from the Olympics, Delgado has competed in the 2021 Summer Games in Tokyo, Japan, as well as the 2019 World Aquatics Championships, where she participated in the women’s 50-meter butterfly and women’s 100-meter freestyle.
She hopes to win her first Olympic medal this year, and she will have many people in her corner.
The Ecuador native, who swam for USC, has over 45,000 followers on Instagram, with the number likely to rise considerably this week.

According to her USC profile, Anicka was a NISCA All-American and California CIF State champion while prepping at Laguna Hills High School.
She was a three-time finalist at the 2020 Speedo Champions Series, finishing fifth in the 100-yard fly, sixth in the 50-yard free, and eighth in the 200-yard free. She won a title in the 50-yard free at the 2019 CIF State Championships, also coming second in the 100-yard fly.
The talented swimmer won two championships at the California CIF Southern—Division 1 section Championship, winning the 50-yard free and 100-yard fly.

Anicka Delgado is the daughter of two-time Olympic swimmer Felipe Delgado, who has been her coach.
As noted above, she will have many fans rooting for her when she competes in the upcoming 50-meter freestyle.
