A perfectly-timed photo of Team USA Olympic runner Karissa Schweizer is going viral as it highlights her quad muscles to an unreal degree.
Schweizer will represent the United States at the Olympic Games in Paris this year following rehabilitation from two serious leg injuries and will hope to return home with some silverware.
The 28-year-old is one of the most decorated distance runners in NCAA history, having attended the University of Missouri, and specializes in 5,000-meter and 10,000-meter races.
She finished 11th and 12th in said events in Tokyo, but no American woman has ever won the 5,000-meter or finished in the top five at the Olympics, so it was always going to be a challenge.
After returning to the U.S., she underwent surgery on her Achilles, and then a calf injury caused her to withdraw from the 2022 World Athletic Championships, prompting a second operation.
With a recent win in the 5K, the runner secured a spot for the upcoming games and has since qualified for the 10K too, doubling her chances of returning home with a medal.

Karrisa Schweizer Stuns The Internet With Insane Quad Photo
Photographer Justin Volley took pictures at the trials in Eugene, Oregon. Volley, who is the creative content lead for track and field at Ohio State, caught the finish between Karissa Schweizer, Parker Alby, and Weini Kelati.
What really stands out about the photo is the fact that every muscle in Schweizer’s left leg is visible.
Check it out below:
Absolutely unreal, but proof of what’s possible when one takes a photo at the right moment.
“Oh my quad,” a user commented.
“Her muscles have muscles,” said another.
The image must have been taken while Schweizer was about to fire off her left leg, as it shows all of her muscles in action.
The perfect photo can exist, after all.
