Sports all around the world have basically been suspended to further stop the spread of the coronavirus, and while most sports can still be practiced in the comfort of your home, there are others that simply cannot.
How do professional swimmers practice in this climate right now?
Well, Russian 3-time Olympic medalist swimmer Yulia Efimova found a genius way to be able to ‘swim on dry land’ with an impressive ‘mermaid’ workout from her kitchen.
In an Instagram video that she posted on Thursday, she shared tips on how to stay in swimming shape while showing off her incredible upper body strength.
“We’re swimming on land, or in the kitchen.”
“Everything that’s old is new again! Grab a couple of swimming exercises on dry land. Don’t be sad and don’t get ill. PS I swim better than I talk and film the video, and on dry land – only so so. On the bright side I’m always positive,” she wrote in the video caption.

Efimova won double silver at the Rio 2016 Olympics in the 100m and 200m breaststroke. It was back in 2012 when she first got an Olympic medal when she scooped up a bronze in the 200m breaststroke at London 2012.
