The 2024 Paris Olympics are just around the corner and all the teams are working hard in their training camps to prepare for the games. Team USA is gearing up to dominate the upcoming Olympics. However, there’s some uncertainty about one of their star players due to an injury. Kevin Durant, a top player for the Phoenix Suns and widely considered one of the best players in NBA history, is currently recovering from a calf injury. Despite this, Grant Hill has reassured fans that Durant will be on the team as he continues to work on his recovery. In the meantime, Durant was invited for an interview where he was asked multiple questions.
After the release of the Team USA photo, NBA fans began discussing the height differences among the players, particularly focusing on the disparity between Durant and Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers. Fans noted that Durant appears to stand at a similar height to the 7-foot-tall players. American sportscaster Kay Adams addressed this issue during an interview with Durant on the Up and Adams Show. The 35-year-old forward was challenged to explain why he and the other taller players on the team seem to be similar in height.
“I think those guys might be shorter than what their number says. I’m 6’9 though. So it looks like Bam Adebayo is probably 6’8, instead of 6’10. And AD (Anthony Davis) is probably 6’9″. So they probably adding a little more to their height, while I’m keeping mine at the same. I’m not lying about my height.” Durant said.
Durant Shares Thoughts on Playing with Lebron James and Stephen Curry on Team USA
During a recent interview with ESPN, Durant opened up about playing alongside LeBron James and Stephen Curry on Team USA. The two-time NBA champion mentioned James and Curry’s careers and praised other players, including Anthony Davis.
“It’s nothing but respect for these guys. You’ve seen their careers for the last 15, 20 years. So to finally be teammates—and it’s not just them, I feel the same way about Anthony Davis, just admiring him for so long and now being in the same locker room with him—it’s pretty cool, just being able to sit and observe what they do.” Durant said.
NBA fans were shocked by Team USA’s announcement of their roster for the pre-Olympics exhibition games, which notably did not include Durant and Jayson Tatum, the star player from the Boston Celtics.
