To focus more on the NBA career, Stephen Curry could not participate in previous Olympics despite passing one decade in the league. Hence, the 2024 Paris Olympics marked Steph’s first participation in the Summer Games. Stunningly, in his debut Olympics, the Warriors star performed exceptionally well and was also highly praised by Skip Bayless.
After Team USA won its fifth straight gold medal, Colin Cowherd could not help but share his appreciation for the Golden Warriors star. Cowherd even did not hesitate to label Curry as the one-man army for Team USA’s gold win in his podcast, “The Herd with Colin Cowherd.”
“[LeBron James] can duplicate almost anything. But he can’t do what Steph does. Magic Johnson can’t do what Steph does… There’s only one guy and only one reason Team USA won the gold, and it’s not LeBron. It’s Steph,” Cowherd said.
“He’s got more points faster than anybody has done it. What you’re watching here—nobody can duplicate it. Shots that would seem outrageous and ill-advised with other guys—with Steph, you want him to take those,” he added.
Warriors Fully Committed to Keeping Stephen Curry for the Long Haul
Despite not winning the NBA title last season, the Golden State Warriors still have full faith in their star, Stephen Curry. After losing key player Klay Thompson in the offseason, the Warriors are determined to keep Curry as the face of their franchise for the foreseeable future.
According to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, the Warriors are ready to ensure Curry finishes his career in a Golden State jersey.

“Golden State has no intention of seeing Curry wear another jersey to finish his career. The organization is prepared to do what it takes to remain competitive as Curry’s legendary career nears its conclusion, while still keeping an open mind regarding their long-term strategy,” the report read.
With the Warriors, Curry is coming off a season averaging 26.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 5.1 assists.
