Sha’Carri Richardson made her much anticipated return to the track after she was expected to contend for a medal at the Olympics but was unable to compete due to a 30-day marijuana suspension.
Richardson, the sixth-fastest woman in track and field history, participated in the Prefontaine Classic. The event included in it is Elaine Thompson-Herah — who has won the last two gold medals in the 100m and 200m dashes at the Olympics — and reigning bronze medalist Shericka Jackson.
The ladies lined up and despite all of the hype, Sha’Carri Richardson could not deliver a victory. She finished last.
