According to The Action Network, a bettor has a lot riding on Team USA after they placed a $45,000 wager on the Americans to beat the Czech Republic.
Team USA are 60/1 favorites against the Czech Republic, so a $45K bet will yield a mere $750 for the bettor if Team USA wins.
If you’re wondering, this is the Czech Republic’s first appearance in the Olympics and they only have one NBA player on the team: Tomas Satoransky of the Bulls. They had to knock off Canada and Greece to earn the final of the 12 qualification spots. They beat Iran by six before losing by 20 to France.
Anything is possible, but Team USA should win.
