When you talk about the GOAT on the basketball court, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, and Kobe Bryant’s names come up mostly. Despite Kevin Durant’s flashes of athleticism, the Phoenix Suns star’s name appears in the debate. Durant has cemented his legacy as the greatest Olympic basketball player the world has ever seen.
An X user named Booker Muse shared a stat to represent Durant’s superiority on the court. The stat chart shows that he holds the top spot with the most points scored, points per game, and field goals made, and he is in the three-point category.
Apart from these categories, Durant also tops the list in free throws made and is tied for first in gold medals, sharing this honor with Carmelo Anthony.

“Not at all. We’ve got champs on the team; they’re just the most recent ones,” Durant said.
Later, Durant extended his appreciation for the Boston trio for their on-court trio.
“But you can see their chemistry pretty easily; those three are team players, and they respect the game, so they’re not coming in bragging or anything like that. But you respect what they’ve done,” he added.
While the Boston stars already showed glimpses of athleticism in exhibition games, Durant missed all games due to a calf injury. Nevertheless, Team USA’s head coach expressed hope in his appearance in their opening game against Team Serbia on 28 July.
