Australian diver Alysha Koloi has revealed that she has an imposter following some photos of her that have gone viral during the Olympic Games.
It was assumed that a certain photo of Alysha showering at the games was posted by her X/Twitter account since it bears her name and is verified. The photo immediately began doing the rounds on social media, making the diver even more popular.
A second photo of Koloi by the showers surfaced a few days later, drawing lots of comments and likes.
The snaps, which have drawn over 30 million combined views, can be seen below:
The 22-year-old has since revealed that the account does not belong to her, taking to Instagram to let her followers know that she has an imposter as she isn’t even on X.

“Hi, this is not my Twitter/X account,” she wrote. “I do not have one. It is someone pretending to be me. Please report it. Thank you.”
The person pretending to be Koloi was approaching 68,000 followers at the time of writing.
Alysha Koloi’s Imposter Has More Followers Than Her
Alysha Koloi has been pretty active on Instagram since the Olympics started, and she’s gained lots of followers since then. However, the user running the fake account has way more followers as she’s at 26K at the moment.
The diver won gold in the women’s 1m springboard at the World Championships earlier this year, which is one of the reasons someone has decided to create a fake account in her name.
Unfortunately, she was unable to replicate her success at the Olympics, failing to make it to the 3m springboard final.
