NHL fans are in stitches over some hilarious footage from Game 7 of the Vancouver Canucks-Edmonton Oilers Western Conference Semifinals showdown on Monday.
During a faceoff in the first period of the decisive game at Rogers Arena, NHL fans noticed two Vancouver Canucks players performing the exact game movements/gestures at precisely the same time:

Well, that’s one way of breaking the internet in a thrilling Game 7 showdown between two longtime rivals. And a hat tip to those heads-up NHL fans for taking notice of the eerie movement by the two Canuck skaters.

Incredibly, this year marked just the third playoff showdown between the longtime rivals, and the first since 1992.
The Canucks finally got to play a home postseason game in front of their home crowd for the first time since 2015 (the 2020 playoff games were played in the Edmonton bubble), taking down the Nashville Predators in round one before falling to Connor McDavid’s Edmonton Oilers.
Edmonton will square off against the Dallas Stars in the Western Conference Finals, marking the first playoff showdown between these two longtime rivals since 2003.
NHL Fans Have Been Treated To A Thrilling Postseason Thus Far
We’re just over a month into the 2024 Stanley Cup postseason, and it has simply not disappointed so far.
There was an epic first round series between the Stars and defending Stanley Cup champion Vegas Golden Knights, which Dallas won after trailing 2-0 in the best-of-seven. The Boston Bruins and Toronto Maple Leafs also went the distance, with David Pastrnak scoring the game-winning goal in overtime.
Now, we get to see the star-studded Oilers take on the top seed in the west. In the Eastern Conference Finals, the defending conference champion Florida Panthers will face the New York Rangers, who finished with hockey’s best regular season record.
