Connor McDavid is quite possibly the biggest star in the NHL. He is undoubtedly the best hockey player in the world after leading the Edmonton Oilers to appearance in the Stanley Cup Finals after Sunday’s game six win over the Dallas Stars.
However, being an NHL superstar and having crazy amounts of success in the best hockey league in the world does not always secure immunity from being targeted by sports fans wherever you are. A recent video of the Oilers captain evidenced this.
McDavid decided to celebrate Sunday’s home win over Dallas by going on a beer run after the game, and unfortunately, he was harassed by fans who were hanging out outside of the bar. The clip was posted to X by Oilers After Dark’s.
In the video, the fans can be seen crowding the 2015 first-overall pick and thanking him for helping the Oilers get past the Western Conference Finals. One fan can be seen saying, “Good game, man,” while another is heard saying, “This is Connor McDavid.”
Connor McDavid Is Gearing Up For The Stanley Cup Finals
The Oilers forward doesn’t seem too happy about the fans by how he responds. McDavid can be seen ignoring the fans after one tried hugging him while getting into in his vehicle before driving off without saying a word to the fans.

Unfortunately, this is what comes with superstardom in any sport, but the fact that McDavid is the best player in hockey right now doesn’t help his case. McDavid finished the 2023 regular season with 32 goals and 100 assists for 132 points through 76 games.
His playoff totals are just as remarkable, with 31 points through 18 games and a Stanley Cup Finals series on the way. While he may not have been too happy with those particular fans after the game, maybe a Stanley Cup ring would cheer him up in the near future.
