Boston Bruins captain Brad Marchand proved, on live television no less, that he’s one of the few folks who can match Paul Bissonnette blow-for-blow in the trash-talking game.
Earlier this week, news emerged that Paul Bissonnette was injured during a 1-on-6 brawl outside of Houston’s restaurant in Scottsdale, Arizona. On a new episode of the “Spittin’ Chiclets” podcast he co-hosts with Ryan Whitney, Bissonnette stated that the fight broke out after he told a group of drunk and belligerent meant to stop harassing restaurant staffers.
Bissonnette warned one of the hooligans to leave the staff alone or else they’d have a problem, which led to the brawl outside. Bissonnette thankfully avoided serious injuries and was okay, and six men were arrested and charged for the assault.
Paul Bissonnette is also an analyst for the “NHL on TNT.” He had the chance to interview Marchand from the penalty box during the Bruins-Pittsburgh Penguins Black Friday game at TD Garden.
Bissonnette asked Marchand if he got a hair transplant, to which the Boston captain stated, “I just tried to look like those guys who beat the wheels of you the other night!”

“BizNasty” and his TNT colleagues got a good laugh out of Marchand’s witty comment. Hey, as long as Bissonnette is okay with the joke.
Paul Bissonnette & Brad Marchand Should Do More Work Together
Marchand is one of the NHL’s most polarizing players, but nobody can deny how clever he is with his humor and trash-talk (whether it crosses a line or not). After this instance, we’d like to advise more interviews featuring these two.
Why not bring Marchand onto the podcast, Paul?
