The Philadelphia Flyers are one of the most brutal teams in the NHL. From their head coach, John Tortorella, to their recent 2023 first-round draft acquisition of Matvei Michkov, the Flyers have quite an intriguing identity.
In their most recent game, the Flyers played the Toronto Maple Leafs in an intense Eastern Conference battle. A rare fight intensified the game as Flyer’s Joel Farabee took on Toronto’s Connor Dewar.
Unfortunately, the fight didn’t help Philly’s chances of winning the game, as they would lose 3-2. However, Farabee was able to get the crowd into the game. He did mention that he felt some lackluster energy from the crowd as the reason for the fight.
The crowd was into the game after that fight, and according to one video on social media, they may have been a little too into it as one Philadelphia Flyers fan decided to give a visiting fan a warm welcome of his own.

Following the interaction, the Leafs fans seem to have said some choice words to the angry fan. However, what was said is unclear. The Philly fan continued and headed back up and most likely out of the stadium.
This altercation seemed to occur following the Flyers” loss to the Leafs, so it’s understandable why tensions may have been at a boiling point. If one thing is for sure, the Leafs fans will be second-guessing their next road trip to Philly.
