Fighting has always been a part of hockey, but rarely do they look like the one that broke out last night between the Ottawa Senators’ Brady Tkachuk and the Winnipeg Jets’ Brendan Lemieux.
It’s pretty obvious these two hate each other, because while most hockey fights tend to end once the players hit the ground and the linesmen intervene, these two guys just kept going. There were headlocks, punches, some eye gouging and face scratching…
And at one point, there was even some biting.
Immediately after the two were separated, Tkachuk could be seen telling the refs Lemieux bit him, while showing them his bloody hand. After taking a closer look at the Sens forward’s hand, the officials got together and determined that Lemieux did in fact bit Tkachuk.
That earned Lemieux a 5-minute major and a game misconduct. And a suspension is likely to be coming his way as well.

This hatred dates back to both players’ fathers, Keith Tkachuk and Claude Lemieux, who squared off with one another during their respective NHL careers.
