The Boston Bruins and Philadelphia Flyers game on Monday night was a pretty heated affair. Things got increasingly physical between the two teams and, following some heavy hits, Flyers forward Travis Konecny and Bruins left winger Nick Foligno got into it after a whistle.
The Philly man really wanted to square up and dropped his gloves. Foligno, on the other hand, was reluctant, a wise decision given that Boston was up by several goals.
That didn’t stop him from producing one of the most incredible hot mic captures ever, though. Heading toward the penalty box, the Buffalo native was heard delivering some colorful language the ref’s way.
“So you’re telling me I should just go f**kng pound his face in?” he asked while skating away, much to the amusement of the broadcast crew.
The Bruins would win the game 6-0 to move to 34-5-4 for the season. Foligno’s involvement was marked by one shot on goal, with David Pastrnak and Pavel Zacha both scoring twice. Matt Grzelcyk and Brad Marchand each chipped in with one.
