Hockey is approaching peak period right now, and fans can’t seem to handle their frustrations. The Game 7 fixture between the New Jersey Devils and New York Rangers painted a perfect example as a Rangers fan hit a worker at the Prudential Center with two quick punches on Monday night.
The worker, going by the name Semaj on Twitter, posted a video of himself getting sucker punched by said fan, asking for help to identify his assailant. “Got sucker punched in the face twice by a Rangers fan, at my job, doing my job, celebrating a Devils goal,” he wrote.
Semaj – we’ll assume his name is James – was shown in the video holding up a Devils sign while hyping up the crowd. He appeared to wave bye to departing Rangers fans before one struck him twice.
Another Twitter user provided a different angle in which the attacker could be seen clearly. He’s shown approaching James, rocking him with a sucker punch before managing to land another though the worker was expecting it, all while being restrained. Guy looks like he has some experience.

The Rangers lost 4-0 on the night, with the Devils closing the series out 4-3. But that’s never an excuse for losing your cool and putting your hands on somebody, is it?
