Earlier this week in a game between the Edmonton Oilers and Minnesota Wild, things got quite heated in the third period with the Wild up 5-1 and the game seemingly out of reach. After a few slashes and pushes were dished out, it appeared as though Oilers Forward Evander Kane and Wild Forward Ryan Hartman were set to settle their differences by dropping the gloves and duking it out.
Unfortunately for them, and the fans, the linesmen decided to step in and break it up before any real punches were thrown or landed. Here is where things got interesting, though.
Frustrated by not being able to punch Kane in the face, Hartman decided to flip Kane the bird while being led away by the linesmen — something that is not often seen in a professional sports setting.
Anna Kane was appreciative of Ryan Hartman’s gesture, as she and many Minnesota Wild fans have donated money to help pay for the $4,250 fine Hartman received from the NHL for his actions. Anna posted a screenshot of her donation of $200 to her Instagram story.
Wild fans have also donated over $30,000, which Hartman said he will be donating to a Children’s Hospital in Minnesota.

Kane is not exactly the most well liked man in the NHL. He has been suspended for shoving a referee, has been alleged to bet on games and was also suspended 21 games for using a fake COVID-19 vaccination card. Even worse, Kane’s ex-wife has also accused of physical and sexual abuse.
Most recently, footage surfaced of Kane allegedly pointing a gun at Anna, although the Oilers forward claimed it was only part of a photo shoot.
