A classless punk at the Pittsburgh Penguins-Tampa Bay Lightning game at PPG Paints Arena on Sunday has gone viral over his ridiculous behavior.
Sidney Crosby and the slumping Pittsburgh Penguins hosted Tampa Bay in the fourth contest of a five-game homestand. The Pens didn’t give their fans much to celebrate, as they fell 5-2 in a pivotal contest that kept them two games out of a playoff spot.
But one elderly Penguins supporter managed to make the day even worse for himself by acting like a complete hooligan that has him going viral on social media.
Dan Kingerski of Pittsburgh Hockey Now got the full story from Pittsburgh Penguins fans and ushers who witnessed the ordeal. The long and short of it is this…
A teenager tried freeing a puck from the netting for a souvenir. The puck came loose, but the elderly Penguins fan in the blue jersey grabbed the puck first and gave it to his granddaughter.
A wife of a Pittsburgh Penguins’ players (her name wasn’t disclosed) decided to cheer the boy up by giving him a game puck she had in her possession. The boy was over the moon and filled with joy as the sections around him cheered, but that pissed off the elderly fan for whatever reason:

The unnamed adult fan got into it with the usher and several other angry spectators as he was escorted out. Kudos to the player’s wife, the ushers and the other fans who worked together to help this teenager forget about the jerk’s selfish antics.
Pittsburgh Penguins Are Enduring Another Tough Season
Last year marked the first time where Pittsburgh missed the playoffs back-to-back years in the Sidney Crosby era. Well, things don’t look a whole lot better as they enter this week with a lackluster 18-19-8 record with no signs of significant improvement on the way.
