On Monday, 33-year-old Alexander Ovechkin got in a fist fight with 19-year-old rookie Andrei Svechnikov of the Carolina Hurricanes in their playoff game.
It started out promising for the rookie for like half a second, and then he caught a nice right to the face that laid him out as he fell and smacked his head on the ice. He had to be helped up by teammates and refs.
Following the beat-down, someone took to Wikipedia and gave the rookie a savage update:
The fight occurred in the first period of Game 3 of the first round playoff matchup between the Capitals and the Hurricanes. Washington entered the evening up 2-0 in the series.
