The draft is just one week away, and more information is starting to come out in regard to a top running back in the NFL Draft.
All-American running back Bijan Robinson continues to be linked to Philadelphia despite the Eagles building in the trenches with value picks. There has only been one running back that has been picked in the top 20 of the last five drafts and that was Saquon Barkley in 2019 who went to the New York Giants.
It appears that will not be changing this year, per Daniel Jeremiah.
“I worked in the Eagles organization for two years and if there’s such thing as less than a zero percent chance that it happens, that is the case there in Philadelphia,” Jeremiah said.
Despite being the top running back in the draft, teams weren’t clamoring to bring him in.
“I’ve been to two teams, two teams for, like, official visits to their cities, two teams,” Robinson told Dan Patrick during a Thursday interview. He quickly revealed the teams that invited him in for official visits were the Eagles and Buccaneers.

Robinson was a standout player in high school, where he was widely regarded as one of the top running backs in the country. During his senior year, he rushed for 2,235 yards and 38 touchdowns, earning him the title of Arizona’s Gatorade Football Player of the Year. He was also named a First-Team All-American by USA Today.
In 2020, Robinson joined the University of Texas football team as a freshman. Despite playing behind senior running back Keaontay Ingram for much of the season, Robinson still managed to make an impact, rushing for 703 yards and four touchdowns on just 86 carries. He also caught 15 passes for 196 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his versatility as a running back.
Robinson’s speed, agility, and power make him a dangerous weapon on the field, and he has drawn comparisons to former Texas running back Ricky Williams. He is also known for his work ethic and his commitment to improving as a player, both on and off the field.
If The Eagles don’t want him, somebody else will gladly take him.
We’ll know for sure when the draft takes place from Apr. 27-29.
