If you’re about to become a player in a professional sports league like the NFL, you would think most guys would take a moment to familiarize themselves with some of the basics…
Like which teams are in which divisions, maybe?
It’s not that hard, really. Most of it is geographical. You would at least think these guys would get to know which three teams are in their own division once they get selected in the draft. But that’s not always the case… at least, it wasn’t the case with Baltimore Ravens first-round pick, Zay Flowers.
The former Boston College wideout was taken by the Ravens with the 22nd overall pick. And afterwards, when asked by a member of the media how excited he is to play in the AFC North, Flowers admitted that he didn’t even know who was in the division.
The reporter eventually informed him that he would be taking on the Cincinnati Bengals, Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns twice each season. That’s when Flowers replied, “Oh yeah, that’s lit. We got some good games.”
Had Flowers been drafted to a division like the AFC South or NFC South, we could maybe give him a pass. But the AFC North is one of the most popular divisions in the league, with tons of history behind these franchises and their bitter rivalries.

Someone better get Flowers caught up on his NFL history, before he embarrasses himself again by admitting that he didn’t know the Ravens were actually once the Cleveland Browns.
