The New York Jets defeated the Houston Texans on Sunday, snapping a five-game losing streak as Zach Wilson returned the field and likely saved his career.
Zach Wilson was benched after he was unable to get the New York Jets offense moving in the first half of the NFL season. After two terrible games without him, the team turned back to him Sunday and he delivered.
Wilson threw for a season-high 301 yards, tossing two touchdowns as the Jets offense finally figured it out as they destroyed the Texans 30-6. New York had failed to score more than 15 points in their prior six games so this was an exceptional performance.
Following the game, Wilson’s girlfriend, Nicolette Dellano, took to social media to react to his monster performance.
“Always proud of you 2,” she wrote.
Zach and Nicolette have been dating for more than a year after his relationship with Abbey Gile ended.

Wilson finished the game with a 117.9 passer rating — the highest of his career.
The Jets’ defense allowed just 135 total yards on the day, with Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud throwing for 91 yards and completing just 10 of his 23 pass attempts.
