Zach Wilson was back in a big way on Sunday.
After three long weeks for this Jets offense without their franchise quarterback, Zach Wilson made his season debut on Sunday against the Steelers. And his presence paid immediate dividends.
Early in the second quarter, Wilson caught a touchdown pass on a trick play and immediately hit the griddy to celebrate.
Joe Flacco was holding it down in Wilson’s place while the Jets quarterback recovered from a knee injury. New York went 1-2 without the 2021 second-overall pick under center.
With a ton of offensive weapons at his disposal, Wilson is entering his sophomore season with high expectations. Early on, he’s living up to them, as his touchdown has the Jets up early on the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
