Zach Wilson is back and so are his interceptions.
The New York Jets rookie QB was back in the starting lineup for the first time since week seven, and it didn’t take him long to get back to his old self, throwing an ugly interception in the first half.
His first quarter INT was an embarrassing one, as he scrambled in the pocket and tossed a pass off his teammate’s back. His intended target wasn’t even looking. But the defense was, as they secure the turnover for the Texans:
Wilson came into today’s game with nine interceptions in his first six starts. He only has four touchdowns. Not the greatest start for the 2021 second overall pick — in this game AND for his career.
He has a prime opportunity to get the second win of his career today against a 2-8 Houston Texans team, but it’s not going to happen if he keeps making disastrous plays like this one.
