Zach Wilson has likely played his last game for the New York Jets as he’s set to miss the final game of the season.
The quarterback last appeared in Week 15, starting in a loss against the Miami Dolphins during which he suffered a concussion. According to the team’s official website, he hasn’t cleared the NFL’s concussion protocol and won’t feature against the New England Patriots in Week 18.
Trevor Siemian has been named as the starter for Sunday’s away game.
“HC Robert Saleh announced Wednesday that Trevor Siemian will start at QB for the Jets when they meet the Patriots in their regular season finale Sunday at Gillette Stadium,” a report from the Jets’ website notes.
Saleh was non-commital on Wilson’s future when he spoke to reporters on Wednesday. The coach asserted that the young QB has a long career in front of him, though he wouldn’t say whether he thinks it will be with NY.

Previous reports indicate that Wilson has been told that the team plans to part ways at the end of the season. He may very well have played his last game in a Jets uniform.
