Zach Wilson’s Hall of Fame Game did not really last long as it lasted just 11 plays over three drives. However, he did enough to have people talking positively about him.
The former BYU quarterback showed off his arm talent during the NFL preseason opener between the New York Jets and the Cleveland Browns. Wilson and the Jets kicked off the preseason with a meeting against the Browns in the league’s annual Hall of Fame game at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton, Ohio.
In the stands for that game were his family and his girlfriend, Nicolette Dellanno, to cheer him on.
Wilson was also celebrating his birthday during that preseason game. Dellanno posted a picture of her hugging Wilson on Instagram that also came with a special message.
Her caption read, “Happy 24th birthday to my best friend.”
At the bottom of Dellanno’s Instagram story, she wrote, “I love you.”

In limited playing time, Wilson completed 3-of-5 pass attempts for 65 yards. His biggest play was him unleashing a 57-yard throw that was completed to Malik Taylor and into Cleveland territory. He was sacked once and posted a rating of 104.2.
It was his first game action since struggling and getting benched against the Jacksonville Jaguars on December 22, 2022.
Last season, the Jets posted a 7-10 record and missed the NFL Playoffs.
Next up on New York’s preseason schedule are the Carolina Panthers, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New York Giants.
The Jets kick off their regular season schedule at home against the Buffalo Bills on Monday, September 11th.
