Zach Wilson’s mother, Lisa, has offered a reaction to the New York Jets’ acquisition of Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers.
While the trade confirms her son will not be the Jets’ starting quarterback in 2023, Lisa appears to be pleased with it.
She’s indicated as much by posting two photos to her Instagram story, one showing a screenshot of Adam Schefter’s breaking news embellished by three clapping emojis and another showing Zach interacting with the veteran star during a joint practice in 2021.
Wilson’s future remains up in the air, which would have been the case whether or not the Jets got Rodgers. At the moment, it seems more likely that the younger QB will remain in New York and play behind Rodgers as opposed to getting traded. But there’s still plenty of time where the Jets are concerned.
They’ve finally gotten the man they made a priority since their season ended, so just about anything secondary can happen now.
