If you were wondering whether the New York Jets made the right decision to bench Zach Wilson in favor of Mike White, it took just one drive to get your answer.
Making his first start of the season in favor of the struggling Wilson, Mike White led the Jets offense on a nine play, 75-yard touchdown drive that ended with an 8-yard yard pass to an open Garrett Wilson in the end zone.
With that, White pretty much did more on offense in one drive than Zach Wilson did all last week during the team’s 10-3 loss to the New England Patriots.
It was a refreshing moment for Jets fans, who have been deprived of a competent offense for a few weeks now. And as you’d probably expect, it had many people on Twitter trolling the benched Wilson.

That stat in the final Tweet is awfully telling. Sure, the Pats have a much better defense than the Bears, but based on Wilson’s play as of late, it is doubtful he could lead the Jets offense on a 75-yard drive against even a high school defense.
White will be looking to take over the starting job for good with a solid performance today, as the Jets are still very much in the playoff race and appear willing to role with whichever quarterback will get them the win—regardless of when or where they were drafted.
